KD2 created a CBT course for each product in the lineup. Courses were published on CD-ROM and sent out to the sales force. |
| Products were continually being added and changed. | KD2 packaged all of the product CBT on a single CD-ROM. Updates were released on a predetermined schedule, and new CDs were distributed to the sales force. |
| Sales force needed to be certified to sell each product. | KD2 developed a database-driven online test engine. Sales personnel completed the product CBT and took the test on their laptop computers. When they logged in to the home office, their test results were uploaded automatically to a central database. |
